05 / Split PDF

Split a PDF or pull out the pages you need.

Take one PDF and either save every page as its own file, or extract a range such as 1-3, 5. The new PDF is created in your browser, so a statement or a contract does not have to be uploaded to be split.

How to use Split PDF

  1. 1. Add one PDF

The page shows how many pages the file has, after it is read locally.

  2. 2. Choose every page or a range

Every page gives you one PDF per page, zipped if there is more than one. A range such as 2-4, 7 keeps those pages in one PDF.

  3. 3. Download

Save the zip or the smaller PDF. The original file stays on your device.

Extract a few pages instead of sending the whole file

A 20-page statement is the wrong attachment when someone asked for pages 2 and 3. Splitting, or extracting a range, is the private way to send only what was requested.

How ranges work

Use commas and hyphens: 1-3, 5, 8-9. Pages are numbered from 1. The extract keeps the order you typed, and a page number that is past the end of the file is rejected before anything is built.

One page per file

Choose every page when a portal wants each sheet uploaded alone. A single-page PDF downloads directly. Longer files download as a zip named from the original, with page-1.pdf onward inside.

Questions

How do I extract specific pages from a PDF?

Add the PDF, choose a custom range, and type the pages. Example: 1-3, 5 keeps pages 1, 2, 3, and 5 in that order.

Can I split every page into its own PDF?

Yes. Choose every page. You get a zip of one-page PDFs, or a single PDF if the file only has one page.

Does splitting upload the PDF?

No. Page count, extraction, and the download all happen in your browser.

Can I split a locked PDF?

No. If the file needs a password, unlock it locally first.
